Tyre burst takes four lives.
Four people died and three survived with injuries when the car they were traveling in overturned on the N4 between Swartruggens and Moedwil, North West. According to the accident report, the car overturned as a result of a tyre burst causing an immediate loss of life of 2 females and 2 children between the ages of six and seven. The three people who survived with injuries are admitted in hospital. North West MEC for the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, Sello Lehari sends his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wishes a speedy recovery to the ones who survived. "Losing four people in one accident is very tragic. Our hearts are broken and we wish their families to find strength during this difficult time," said MEC Lehari. MEC advices motorists to pre-inspect their vehicles before getting into the road. "The weather condition has changed and it is hot on the road these days, therefore it is important for motorists to pre-inspect their vehicles before getting on the road.
